A classic early nineties surfing movie for all those adrenaline junkies out there who need their latest fix. This movie boasts a wicked cast who look like they were born to surf. FBI Agent Johnny Utah (Keanu Reeves, My Own Private Idaho) starts at the Los Angeles FBI precinct, Keanu plays on form the young arrogant rookie. With Ben Harp (John C. McGinley, A midnight Clear) as his brisk, sharp tongued superior and his new old school partner Angelo Pappas (Gary Busey, The Firm). These three totally different yet skilful actors work well together on screen delivering their sarcastic and cynical views on how to solve these bank robberies. Tyler Endicott (Lori Petty, A League of Their Own) is the feisty, only woman in this tribe of surfers that Johnny becomes involved with. Lori shows that her character has as much surf fuelled energy and nerve as ex-boyfriend Bodhi (Patrick Swayze, Dirty Dancing).

Patrick is toned and muscular for his role as invincible surfer and leader Bodhi and is Keanu's equal in this movie. For surfers Roach (James Le Gros, Singles), Nathaniel (John Philbin, Tombstone) and Grommet (Bojesse Christopher, Sleepwalkers) surfing is their drug and they will go to the other side of the world to ride the ultimate wave. With a laid back drawl to perfection and an attitude to match James, John and Bojessie are true surfer dudes! Johnny finds that some surfers are not so chilled and are more like gangs than tribes as Bunker (Chris Pedersen, Platoon), Warchild (Vincent Klyn, Conflict of Interest), Babbit (Daniel Beer, Dying Young) and fourth gang member (Anthony Keidis, Red Hot Chilli Peppers band, The Chase) demonstrate forcefully.

The soundtrack is amazing and takes your breath away as it compliments each scene whether it is romantic or intense action. The filming for the surfing and beach scenes are incredible it just makes you want to go out there. The action scenes are fast paced and adrenaline filled, leaving you wanting more.
